    MP 5000 toner motor replacement....

OK this easy job went bad. Normally the wire pops out of the front of the motor and I just pop it in the new motor...

Wire pulled out of the rear frame and frame connector fell into the machine...

Any clues on how to get that fan housing out of the middle of the machine to get to the rear frame from the front of the machine...

    Thanks,
    Harry

If you're trying to get to the bit I think you are, take the laser, power supply and the output cover off, that should give you sufficient access to the fan duct.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

    Thank you for helping!

Actually I fixed it this morning....

Removed the bridge unit, 2 blue covers and 2 screws on the fan housing!!!!

    What a PITA!!!
