First all I want to say that I'm not a dealer, I have been working closely with my authorized Ricoh technician in our small city. This firm has limited IT knowledge, that is where I come in. We are working on a Aficio MP C5000. All of the forums I have read regarding the SMB scanning not working point to updating the firmware being one of the most common solutions. My technician says I have latest firmware update is 4 years old. Can you someone confirm that is the latest firmware, especially the NIB version, he check TSC. We have tried the regedit solution in making update for NBT, that didn't work. When tried to telnet into the copier and tried to do any of the smb commands we received a syntax error, that pointed to maybe there is a newer firmware update? Any ideas?
