    almost all Ricoh mpc "tearing image transfer belts"

    I think this is important to know:
    do not remove the image transfer belt ass'y out of the machine when the machine was not properly shut off;
    if there was a jam or so, it could be that the color transfer belt rollers are still in contact with the color drums,
    thus scratching the belt.

    I know there was a tread concerning this matter last month, so don't steel my carrefully built up green dot.
    This treat is concerning all Ricoh mpc's (with a belt) while the other treat was for c5501 only;

    spc811:
    I switched off the machine with the main switch, so is on display: "wait 2 minutes"...
    Meanwhile I used to already open the front cover and already began to remove the pcdu's, so before it actually shuts off...
    I thought I could save time with this "procedure".

    Oh my:

    Always customer called some weeks after, complaining that there is a strange black figure at the side of almost every printout...
    After my investigation, always the ITB belt was damaged!
    It took me a few months to understand that you never may remove anything out of a Ricoh machine when it is not carrefully shut off!
