    Ricoh 8300 SC324-00

Can anyone explain to me what this code means and how to fix it? I understand that it is a "Laser drive excess current draw problem" but what exactly does that mean?

    Thank you!

If you're referring to the Ricoh 8300dn B&W printer, SC 324 is Development paddle motor error. If you're under a service contract that includes supplies then order Maintenance Kit SP 8300A (PCU with Developer). If you're not under a contract with supplies then you can order the developer paddle bearing part #B0043059 if you are a tech. If you're an end user then you are better off ordering the kit or calling you local Ricoh tech.
