ProC7100SX - Traling Edge smudge on heavy stock

    Good afternoon.

I've been servicing a ProC7100 that does the defect you can see on the attached image. Some data on the attached image:

    - It's the 4-dot independent pattern
    - Printed in BW
    - It doesn't appear to happen in other colors
    - Paper is couche matte 350gsm

The insert square is a rough zoom of the affected area. It appears to be a shadow filling the white space between the dots.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers!

Seen it. He is right about the guide. Mother Ricoh actually told me to remove it and run without. Been doing that almost since new. Lots of pages, no problems from running without it.

Thanks for the input. I haven't been to the machine in the meantime, since the jobs the costumer is running through it don't exhibit that symptom. I'll remove it once I get there (or will instruct my colleagues to do it) and see how it goes from there.

    Thanks again!
