MP2851 no paper empty signal on drawer 1
Tray 1 thinks there is still paper when it is empty and will try to feed and show a jam because there is nothing to feed.
Replaced sensor with actuator that goes through slot in paper lift tray.
Sensor in back that normally pops out is in place and already has mylar mod on it.
sp5803-19 - tray 1 paper end sensor does not change state with or without paper.
is the paper end sensor the one above the tray with the actuator that falls through the slot? (because that is the on I replaced)
lift motors and springs are all intact as is the coupling lift gear.
paper feeds fine otherwise and both drawers read proper sizes.
also if I unplug the sensor above the drawer it shows paper empty, with or without paper installed.
drawer 2 works normally.

That was it, that flag on the sensor arm was partially snapped off.
I couldn’t tell when it was still mounted but when I took it out I could see the break.
thanks!
