Is this all i need to add when removing the sorter bridge

    greetings to all
I just picked up my 1st MPC3003 and it must have had a sorter one time.
I removed the bridge unit and looked at my parts manual and found
    this number.D1494496
    TRAY:EXIT
I remember older units having a few plastic pieces in the exit tray.
    thanks

The tray also came with a small plastic piece that would go on the left side and could be folded up to help prevent 11x17 size paper from falling out the tray. It's not strictly speaking necessary but it's mount leaves a fair size hole. D1494497 is the part number. Called End fence:tray:exit

    +1 with sturmtrooper

There is also a white cover that covers the area where the back of the bridge connects to the rest of the machine, but that is purely cosmetic.
You will see this if you sit in front of the machine and look into the paper exit area. It is visible on your photos as well.
    Press the GREEN button!!

That is it. It is in the accessory section because it does not come initially attached to the exit tray. It comes packaged with the accessories and is installed after the support bracket for the left end of the scanner unit is removed.
