spc811 toner level with question mark

    Yellow toner.
Instead off level indication it displays a "?"
Customer had already replaced the yellow toner, with no improvement.
    Print outs are fine.
I know there is an issue with oem toner, and they only use oem toner.
    Thank you for helping.

Re: spc811 toner level with question mark

    Hi

If you remove a toner from a machine and insert a used bottle, the machine reads the chip and realises that the bottle is used.
It changes the display to a "?" and the blocks on the config page to [----].

It could also flash a warning of "Independent supplier toner set"

Basically the machine does not know how much toner is in the bottle based on rotations, so it reverts to working until the td sensor goes to toner near end condition.

I have seen sometimes that the machines become confused when you then put the original toner back and keep the "?" display along with the other warnings, until a new fresh toner is installed.
    Press the GREEN button!!
