On another parts hunt...LD 145 ADH pickup roller cam...

Again with the crossover part issues between Lanier and Ricoh.

The little cam that pops up the ADH pickup roller has a crack in it and the splined shaft inside it is starting to slip in the cam.
Best I can tell the cam is pressed on to a shaft and comes as one part Ricoh P/N B351 1751 Pickup roller cam.

I'm not able to source this part from my local or PR suppliers.

    Anyone have a suggestion.

I was just hired as a subcontractor to repair and maintain 45 Lanier machines and could use a good crossover chart to link back to Ricoh.
I've been working with mostly Ricoh units for the last 12 years and Xerox the 4 years before that. (yeah I know...more useless info..LOL).

As always thanks for any help you can give me.

I will give you some advise,if you are going to service 45 of the same model, buy yourself a working"if possible low meter" parts machine.
That is what i do.I sometime buy deAD machines just for the drums, fusers,ITB, etc and high volume units just for boards.

Thanks for the Cross Reference ON PR...Been going there for years and never noticed that.

    But they don't show my p/n: B351 1751

    LOL...I'll keep digging.

    You might try this MacGuyver:

Remove the shaft and cam. Position the cam correctly. Drill a #64 hole through the cam and shaft, all the way through. Apply 5 minute epoxy to the contact surfaces. Dip a straightened SPC (small paper clip) in some of that epoxy and slip it through the hole, locking it in place. Clean up your tools with alcohol while it sets. In an hour you can cut away any excess SPC and file the outside where the clip passes smooth.

It will be better than new. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Here's a general purpose crossover list that at least used to work for older models. I don't know if it has been updated for a while though.

I used to keep 1 in my tool case, 1 in the car, 1 on my bench at the office and 1 at home. Were like 6 or 7 dollars maybe less at Lowes and Home Depot.

    Just thinking out loud here...
Wouldn't a small zip tie around the crack keep it from spreading open thus slipping on the splined shaft?
When I was there the other day, I removed the cam and reclocked it. I then ran a bunch of originals through it.
It didn't slip the whole time, telling me the splines in the cam are still in pretty good shape and with minimal squeeze pressure it should hold.

Why would you not want to try what someone wth a LOT more experience than you suggests?
you might need a titanium bit but what can that costs $4-5..
I dont carry a drill with me but if i needed to make a fool proof fix i would drill n epoxy
