    mp4000 mp4001 mp4002 cleaning web not rolled-up

Sometimes the cleaning web is not rolled up and so causing jams.
If this happens I can manually roll up the web by turning the "worm-gear" ...
Is this "not rolling up" issue caused by the machine or due to the cleaning web ass'y itself?
    Thank you for your help....

the orange oiler roller has unidirectional ones that lock and cause this.also when the client sends very much loaded documents of toner sticks and does not let the web advance

Here my friend, this infos are from my training documents, hope it helps.

The web motor turns on every 8.4 seconds during copying (this can be changed with SP 1902 002 if the fusing unit is not being cleaned enough). ¾ Every 8.4 seconds for the Alex-C1b ¾ Every 6.7 seconds for the Alex-C1c ¾ The length of time that the motor turns on is determined automatically by the machine. It will be between 0.3 s and 10 s. The diameter of the web on the take-up roller changes with time, as the web is used up. The machine estimates the current diameter of the roller when determining how long to keep the motor on.

    Re: mp4000 mp4001 mp4002 cleaning web not rolled-up

    I always referbish these myself.
There are four "one way gears" in the ass'y,
that is why i think the problem is due to the ass'y and not due to the machine itself...
So, we are now forced to replace the ass'y unit, because Ricoh doesn't offer one of these "one way's" anymore:
    D0094355 roller clutch
Those modif web's are almost impossible to referbish.
I have tried this and failed.
Does anyone know where you can order D0094355?

    Hi there!
They“ve changed the cleaning-unit to avoid this problem. This document is from RICOH germany.
    Greetings...

those unidirectionals I put them in varsol or other mild solvents

Once they are already without rust and gobs, dry them well, I put a few drops of silicone oil and return to work full

They have updated the "brake system" for these webs. Instead of the one-way bushing for the orange roller, they changed to a ratchet-style system, and added a plate that helps keep the web tight and from unfurling. Orange roller has been updated also to accommodate the new "bushing".
You can also just remove the web unit from the fuser, and let the machine run without it, still gets pretty damn close to expected yield.
