I agree FRIDGEMAGNET it's a pointless excise not worth the time, effort or risk.
But I think it probably could be done.

Not sure about this model but the 90+ cpm machines are set by a firmware setting - but not anything that can be altered in the field unless you want to change any board with firmware on it except the lcdc. The heat lamps are also different on some models, and on the 35/45 cpm machines the polygon mirror motors are different.
Cheaper to upgrade the machine than to do all that (unless you know somebody that can give us the software to re-flash the machine)
