    Re: MPC4504ex Borderless printing

If the client is big enough, this may be a good chance to look at some automatic slitter/cutter/creaser options that are about, we have a few DUPLO machines in the field that are pretty neat.

I’m still facing this issue, customer is asking for proof that the machine can not officially print totally “borderless” before I pass it back to the salesman i’m looking for an official document to back up the SRA3 option, cant see any info on this from Ricoh.

I also remember from training I will need to fit an SRA3 kit? (longer PTR if memory serves)

Quick method is to set lead and trail edge erase margin to 0 then have the customer try to run 10 full bleed color prints without jamming.

If they're doing coverage that heavy, they have the wrong machine anyway. Pro C5210 at a minimum.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

This is for the 5502 but still relevant:

    Print Area

And a very good explanation as to why the Metis can't do it:

”Reduced Border” may be a better term.

Unfortunately, too many people take the term literally, and assume that it means 100% borderless.

As already mentioned several times, you need to print on a larger size and then “trim to taste”, if you will.
The sales guys sell it as "Borderless" and don't explain it properly to the customers..at least that what WE find around these here parts
