MPC 6003 poor yellow solids and ghosting

    Hi all.

I went to an MPC 6003 today. It's not one of my customers and was an ad hoc call. Anyway, when I printed off the printer test pattern, the colours were ok apart from yellow could be rubbed off the page and had developer on the yellow area. The solid areas were non existent. Much like when the rear frame of the pcdu has been left off but was still attached. The customer uses compatable toner and the device unit has done half of its life.

Is it worth attempting to fix this issue with a new development or should I walk as they use non gen and have no history of MC.

    Any suggestions??
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

Feeling developer on the page tells me that the drum is pulling developer due to the toner level in the development unit having been depleted. This cam also cause lead to damage to the drum, charge roller and cleaning blade. I would give the customer an estimate to replace the complete PCDU along with a recommendation to use only Genuine Ricoh supplies.
