Aficio MP C6501 "Add Toner" Issue

Hello all,

I have an MP C6501 that will not get rid of the "Add Toner" message. I have already replaced the toner dispenser (idk what to call it but the large holds for the toner which houses the toner pump). I have taken apart the drum and everything spins as it should.

Any ideas?

There's a TSB about this, actually.

In it, it describes the following causes:
SP Modes 3812 & 3815 display incorrectly. Or, SP3817 is not a value of 0.
White rubber hose from the toner cartridge outlet to the sub hopper is clogged.
The toner end sensor is defective.

I would also check the TD sensor or better yet, push this machine down a hill and put it out of its misery.

If all of the developers were not initialized successfully, toner will not add, check in service mode to see if they were initialized.

Set SP3410 for the affected colour to 10 and reboot, should sort it.
