MP C2050 Prints perfectly, scanned copies have diagonal lines

Test2.jpgtest.jpgAll printed copies, configuration etc are perfect. When I place a copy on the doc feeder the output has lines of orange and reddish color that are straight but at an angle to the paper and in different shades.

Looks like there might be a light dusting of magenta and possibly yellow toner on the slit glass or one of the mirrors.

I plan on taking it apart again and double checking. I cleaned it some time back but it didn't clear up. We set it aside here in the shop as it was a shop machine. Pulled it out today to look at it and decide on deposition but I am going to double check the mirrors and all.

not sure if you get a clear image when copying from the exposure glass, but if you do, your problem is confined to contamination of the slit glass
