SP 1011 has a number of settings for when starting from a cold state and warm state. I would try changing SP 1011-007 Rotation Time:Cold. Default is 2 seconds.
Is the machine standing in good conditions?
Is the fluctuation of room-temperature significant?
which paper brand are they ussing?
Do they use thick paper without selecting it?
Thanks for this, Tim.
I have a similar issue that I posted about a couple of months ago.
It jams on the first page every morning without fail, and then runs all day without an issue.
I was advised that it was probably the grease on the fuser sleeve that's gotten sticky and needs a little extra time to warm up and get 'soft', and so the sleeve doesn't turn properly on the first page until it heats up a little more, which makes sense. The machine/ fuser is otherwise in perfect working condition. They're a time and materials customer, so they decided to live with it for now. I was looking for a setting for fuser idling myself, but never found it.
This sounds promising. I'll try it the next time I'm in their area.
I have had the same fault a few times
i found removing the fuser belt applying a smear of fuser oil to the strip that sits underneath the belt, clean the underside of the belt, clean and lube bushings
rebuild often works
I Used To Live To Fix Things Now i Fix Things To Live
i know it's a odd, but to know if the problem is caused by fluctuating temperatures (=moisture), try this:
After you put on the machine in the morning, open the right cover for about 1 minute.
Close it... Still the same problem?
I know it sounds not serious, but it is!
