    Ricoh 201 / Savin 920

When power is turned on all lights on operation panel light up for about 2 seconds, then go out. The only light that stays on is the green light above main power button on op panel. No LCD. Tried unplugging spf cage with no luck. Fuses good. Had voltage on the BIC.
Anyone out there is Copyland have this issue?
    Thanks,
    Craig

Was the device like this when you started working on it, or was it in this state after working on it?

Does the engine cycle at startup? Are there any beeps? Does it respond to cover open/close with error lights/engine cycle?

Almost sounds like something cooked the bicu.

In the most basic state (without spf cage) it should try to boot but will complain about a missing ic card. The fact that you have no LCD worries me as the firmware loads the LCD as part of startup. Have you got access to a working bicu?

Will check Monday. Any thoughts on having a bad Op panel?

Have you tried to access WIM? If you can, you should be able to see what the Service Code was. Possible a polygon mirror motor error which can some time blow components of the BCU. Replace both at the same time or you risk blowing which ever one you don't replace.

Not impossible but highly unlikely as the rest of the device would normally go through startup if the panel was the culprit.

Usually will code and stall as soon as it tries to test the polygon motor.
