    Bit differant across the pond then, only ‘Mac’ users need a PS card over here! But never seen one installed on a B/W printer.

    Linux and UNIX pretty much only do PostScript, too. VERY little PCL.

    I remember a few years ago, there was a Konica Minolta Fiery that was PostScript only, and offered PCL as an option. That was a Color MFP.

    Going back almost 20 years, the Canon iR600 (and the printer only version, the iR60) were PostScript only with the early version. Those were B&W, with embedded Fiery controllers. I think version 2.x gave it PCL.

    Quite true, but PostScript isn't going away any time soon.

    It can do things that PCL (including version 6) simply can't.
