    Mpc5501 Locked up

Client had a black out and when machine came back it appeared to be ready but start light stays red and can’t access printer button as it just hangs on Please wait. We can’t even get SP mode to work to try to format the drive. Any ideas?

Try booting the machine with the hard drive disconnected.

I would try unplugging the HDD and see if it comes to a ready state.
I have seen machines just say "please wait" forever and throw no codes etc. when the HDD was bad.

Just format it with a caddy, the drive itself should be fine.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Please remove the fax control panel on the main control board, replace the main control board and then boot to enter the sp mode and then execute 5832 and then successfully install the fax interface panel to ok.
