sorry this machine ricoh mp c5000 has error sc120 , i have tried to check all the toners specially black .
what can i do.

SC120 - Scanner home position error 1 - The scanner home position sensor does not detect the “OFF” condition during
operation.


• Scanner motor driver defective
• Scanner motor defective
• Harness between SIO board and scanner motor disconnected
• Scanner HP sensor defective
• Harness between SIO and HP sensor disconnected


1. Check the cable connection between the SIO board and scanner motor.
2. Check the cable connection between the SIO and HP sensor.
3. Replace the scanner motor.
4. Replace the HP sensor.

You've opened 2 separate threads today including this one:
Ricoh MP 5000 error sc 200
This thread apparently only started because you indicated the wrong SC in your first one!
Your only solution has been to check the toners -especially black (for some reason).
Neither of the issues have ANYTHING to do with toner.
You obviously have no technical experience, so call a tech.

Thanks , yes i went ahead and checked the scanner ,opened the glass off ,cleaned the sensor and the mirrors .
When i powered still the scanner carriage doesn't move at all and the lamp doesn't light .
This error has been on and off for the last one month but this time its permanent .
i will check the motor tomorrow but if you think of any solution please send it to me .
