Mpc4502 wrinkling through fuser

23768A34-C874-41F6-9C70-72E5B95C17FE.jpgOk, we can run letter thru fine, letter r , legal or ledger get a nasty wrinkle and you can hear it wrinkle as it passes thru fuser. Stop the page and before fuser no wrinkle, after there is a wrinkle. Tried a new stripper plate and still get this. Any ideas? I’m batting 0 for 2 today!

seems like maybe paper is slowing down after it leaves fuser. Maybe an exit bind?

the rollers aren't straight the further the paper goes to the edges of the fuser the worse it is, check the bearings or where they mount GOOD LUCK

seems like maybe paper is slowing down after it leaves fuser. Maybe an exit bind?

The small white driven gears on the rear side of the exit assy might be gummed up where they sit on the shaft.
Try taking them off and giving that area a wash.
Failing that you can get the entire exit assy pretty cheaply as a part these days.

hmmmmmmm must be fuser issue.......just replace the whole fuser

This can be either one of the following:

• Damp paper
• Faulty PTR
• Fuser duplex rollers stuck (if doing duplex)
• Fuser entrance guide warped or dirty
• Uneven fuser pressure

Had something similar once... turned out to be some toner buildup on the fuser ENTRANCE guide. It would cause a momentary "hang" in that area, letting the paper skew just enough to cause crinkle-folds (or Z-folds as they're sometimes called)

Check your entrance and exit guides.
