    Toner difference

    HI,

Does anybody knows if we could use toner from Pro C 751 series in MPC 8002 series, and vice versa? Could it be the same toner?

    Thanks

    Thank you.
Does any model share same toner with mpc 8002.
    ?
On xerox printers you can find same toner in office and bigger models, only different package and rfid chip.
I doubt that other manufacturers make unique toner for each model.

Found this posted by Slimslob in xerox part of forum:

"I don't know about Brand X, but Ricoh toner bottles/cartridges usually have (in addition to the order number and lot number) have a small box with the "recipe" number. Usual on the bottom right of the label. If the recipe numbers match, the toner is the same, even if the size and shape of the bottles are different."

From the second page of the Product Guide for the MP C8002

The D135 series adopts new chemical toner in order to enhance image quality and meet the demand of higher image quality in commercial printers.

New chemical toner means not used in any previous models,

The MP C8002 and MP C6502 are both the same basic model just different speeds. The Production version is the Pro 8100 series. Same toner just different quantity, yield and packaging.

Isn't the production version the Pro C5100?

I use Pro 5100 Toner in 8002’s and vice Versa if I get stuck quite often. I have a customer in the field who has 2 of each so sometimes I need to swap the Toner when they run out of one to keep them going. They are muppets for not telling me or were as I ask nower days. Anyway my idea is same dev same Toner in this instance.
