I suppose it's too much to ask to explain the difference between "Additive" and "Subtractive" color processing, and why an RGB monitor and a CMYK based paper printout MIGHT look a little different??

    ...anyone?? ....anyone??.... Bueller??

In addition in my opinion, we should also have advanced knowledge to the topic color and color management firstly.
I don't know about Ricoh-EU, but a couple of years ago when I took the EFI initial training, I signed up through the Ricoh Learning Institute which Ricoh-USA had contracted with EFI to provide. No cost to the dealer at that time.

Depending on what variety of media (paper) they are using, you might need to set up media profiles in Command Workstation.

Thanks, i will check this point and will ask RICOH Germany.

Training is always a good thing. But if fiery and color profiling is not your daily job, you quickly forget a lot and after that and you start always from the beginning.

EFI allows you to review all courses/sub courses you have finished.

    Cheers, Aktasson

I would try to get a sample or samples of what they are complaining about first.

I would try to get a copy of the original of what they are printing.

Find out what program or software they are printing. Is it just a PDF for example.

Find out what paper they are using if possible.

Then I fool around with machine(s) in our office to see what happens when printing the same items.

Does it make sense to use the fiery icc profiles from the fiery dvd? These are the profiles for photoshop, lightroom etc. to emulate the gamut of the fiery cmyk.

I agree. I have a customer with a C5503 and an E-22 that thinks they can magically print on 100 pound felted cardstock.
