mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
I have re set the fuser several times, with fuse, re set all counters, including 390*/7-***/ all that i know how to re set, even the one in 1-***
still wants new fuser roller, Its been a while is this an NV ram issue? or is there a procedure in a certain sequence thats need to be done? i cant see having to put a new fuser in it? ive been rebuilding these units for a while, and re setting with fuse, or my little cheat fuse i made out of a thermister... Please advise Thanks

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
If you have done everything said above, just try to reset the PM or Parts counters for fuser Roller and restart.
Hope that helps.

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
What was the PM count on the fuser?
Did you Cycle Machine after resetting counters SP 7-804-019 and 022 and 023? (Off/On).

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
yes i did, the pm count on the fuser is 2, its a new rebuilt fuser, all new fixing film and LFR,thermisters, ...
i used a re set fuse, followed proceedures i use typically on these machines, never had this problem,
any other ideas?

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
Try manual new unit set SP3902-xx & set the pressure roller from 0-1 & restart the machine.

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
i also have done this
I think its in the NV ram.... but i dont want to think that until ive exhausted all other possibilities

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
can you copy nvram from another mpc5502 and and see if that works?
i would take an image of the existing machine before and drop it on my laptop.
I take copies of nvrams on all my mpc3002/mpc3003 s i resell now.
It sucks having a charge call where you just replaced over $500 WORTH of parts and cant get it to work.

Re: mpc5502 "replace fuser roller "
i do that too on all the '02'03's i guess the nvram is corrupt, ill re do it and c if that works
