How do i check if a SOP unit is complete?

    hi
I just started to see lease return mpc401 and mpc3003 units with SOP
    panels.
As these are returns the customer at times pulls hard drives and anything they think might be a
    security issue.
Is the NFC reader built in or sits on panel? iS IT needed to print/scan from phones?
How do I check that units I buy can connect to android phones?
    THANKS

I do not believe there is an NFC reader in the panel. They come with blank NFC tags that can be programmed using a smartphone so that phones with NFC readers can scan the tag and get the connection info for use in the Smart Device Connector app.

If there was one it would likely be soldered onto the main board like the Bluetooth module is. The WIFI is a small separate board of it's own but I doubt anyone would remove that when it can be disabled.

It's just a tag you stick on the machine when you set it up.

Exactly. You could just as easily buy a generic NFC tag to use in the same way.

Primarily used as a visual indicator of where to place the mobile device.
