I would say one of the CIS segments.
The machine is a color ink jet plotter and these are all prints. Normally I would say the problem is the print head, but the prints look like an actual word being strung along rather than ink being smeared.

I'm not saying you guys are wrong, just curious how a CIS would impact a print? No issues when customer does scan to email.
Where does it say printing? That type of distortion normally happens during scanning.

These are prints from a desktop, the streaks also occur when I run an SMC. Tried to scan an image of what it looks like on the SMC but it won't load on the forum page.
Have you tried running your "Check Nozzle Pattern" and verify those results. Your sample looks like a compressed image in areas but it is odd your machine does not throw a code/error. I would try cleaning the Horizontal Shaft that the Print Heads travel on. Also, you may want to replace the Encoder Strip. How old is this machine? Does it have the newer style bearings on the Print Head and the Paper Feed? The old bearings developed cracks.
