I have had problems with copies from these small color machines when the drums get old. Usually density problems such as you are having. It doesn't make a lot of sense since printing is fine, but you might want to try a new black drum and see if this fixes your issue.

I have pulled the drums apart on these series and stripped down the charge roller and vacuum
the soft charge cleaning roller and they revive.
If the drum is all marked with lines then
    it needs to go..

I think it was on this model, but not exactly sure. Remove laser unit, (left side of machine --> remove two screws to drop down that cover --> remove waste toner #2/ cleaning unit --> remove the two fans/brackets --> disconnect some harnesses --> remove laser unit (two screws), check to see that the shutter on the laser unit isn't bound up or has loose screw). I think there are some SP's you can adjust also, just can't remember which ones right now (will update if I find them).

If the laser would be the issue, or Y or M or C color would have the same issue...
Also would the same error occur in printing mode.
And that is not the case.

did you check that lever that locks the black drum and brings the ITB closer to drum?
I had this and it gave me an undertoned copy/print.
It would lock over but it didnt go correctly. took it apart and played with it

If the calibrations ACC printout sheets looks normal, i would also check user tools - > scanner and copy/document server settings. Check and set the parameters to default. Do a scan with a color/bw test chart to the document server and have a look to the preview if it's ok or not.
