    HI
I read this and deal wth c3003 and c3503 series.
Are you saying the drum will wear out at " 1/10th of its "expected" yield (270k)"
27k copies or the lub bar?
I have not had issues but dont want any either.
MOst of my machines are under 100k.
    thanks

But in that case perhaps noise can be an issue?

I am one who tries to stay ahead of possible headaches.
Have not had any loud drum noises yet..

I have not rebuilt any mpc3003 drum units "yet"..
But I guess I will pull apart one will time allows me.
Are you guys getting the expected yield of these drum units?
    thanks

It states in the PSG or Service Manual that if you don't adjust the springs for the lube bar, then the PCU's expected yield will be 1/10th of what's stated. In the 3003 3503 models, the manual will tell you NOT to adjust the springs, we ignore this and do it anyway, it says that "this procedure is only for the 55 and 60 models. Have not had any problems with noise or anything like that, just longer lasting drums! Usually past the 270k stated.
