Ricoh actually distributed some bad units and later released an advisory about the problem units. I'll see if I can find you the pdf.

Even if you did not get one of those bad 2014 units----you may still have a similar issue. The unit has a chip that stores the color information. This chip is blank until installation occurs, and the machine writes the information to the chip upon installation.

Either the part you got didn't have a blank chip or the 5th station installation procedure was not followed correctly.

After installing the 5th station for the new special color.....you have to log into user tools and go to adjustments for skilled operators. Select machine image quality. Select Adjust image density/dems. Then select DEMS and hit execute.

Did someone forget to do this step?

Use this sequence to return the machine to normal operation:

    1 - set to "4th" in SP3-106
2 - switch Off the machine
3 - change the 5th station to colour was before
4 - switch On the machine
    5 - change setting to "5" in SP3-106
6 - set the settings according to colour was before in SP3-107-001/002/003 (see table below)
    6 - reboot the machine
This sequence of operation clear the condition "Set OPC clean Unt/Wrong PCDU(S)"

SP3-107-XXX White Clear Neon Yellow Neon Pink
    001 3 2 2 2
    003 2 1 3 4
    003 2 1 1 3

Sorry for digging out this rotten corpse of a thread, but just to say this one saved my proverbial ass. Thank you!
