Ricoh MP C4504 and SP C842/840

Do the SP C842 C840 pcdu's/fusers/ITB work in the mp c4504? Sure looks like the same machine to us.

PCDUs & fuser most likely do, just need the connector/jumper pin swapped over like on previous models.

However the ITB looks different to the MPCxx04 ?

Mainly looks like cosmetic covers to make it more end user friendly for replacement. I bet the belt itself is the same as well as internal parts. Those covers would have to be swapped to make it fit. Fortunately the transfer belt lasts forever.

Usually we just replace just the belt.

Apparently you have never had Sally Sexratary gouge one with her engagement ring.

Yeah usually that only happens once. When they get the bill for the new belt and minimum 1 hour labor for replacing it since that isn't covered under their maintenance agreement it never happens again. In some cases the machine is replaced end of lease with another company though. Perks of being made to enforce the rules to the letter I guess..

Yup PCDU's and transfer works, been using them for ages.

With the PCDU all you need to do is remove the TD sensor and harness off the old one and place it on the kit and when placing it in the device the front cover wont fit without trimming it but I leave them off completely

If you are fitting it in a 6004 its fine, if your fitting it into a 4054 and lower you need to remove the lube bar and tension it back up as the tension is already released from new

Transfer unit is a straight swap, only changes I use the cleaning unit transfer waste off the old one, also you must remove the entire cover off the kit transfer as it wont fit and the original cover also wont fit as the shaft that locks the K PCDU in is very long

Fuser I really couldn't be bothered working out what requires modification but if someone does it please let me know

Note the Lube bars are not as long as the individual genuine PCU but they last the same length of 400 K for black and 270 K for colour
