hi
I only started selling used units with SOP panels,ie mpc3003 and mpc401sr .
Did it start on these model in the color segment?
Was wondering if it was an option on mpc3002.
And can you swap panel from different machines?
thanks

No the MPCxx02 series never had that SOP option.
The panels are interchangeable, check the part numbers.

I have a mpc401 wth SOP in stock and sold a mpc3003 to an account who has a buddy who wants the same set up.
I was hoping but wont play frankenstein with these machines.
Hi
All The Android panels are the same, except for the brackets and possibly back covers.
As far as changing a normal panel to Android, I agree with the previous poster, as there are settings that have to be done to tell the machine that it now has an android panel and not the standard panel.
Press the GREEN button!!
HI
Thanks.
I never did a swap over from NOP to SOP.
I did see you need to do FW "SOP"version.
Do you swap panel 1st and then flash FW UPON 1 ST REBOOT?
I believe you have to update the SOP system firmware 1st and then the SOP Engine firmware (with NOP still on) and then the rest of them (SOP versions). Then there are a couple SP modes you need to change (if I remember correctly)5748-101 and 201, turn machine off, swap the NOP for the SOP, turn back on, and then go back into SP mode and change SP 5752-001 and 1041-001 (I think those were it) . Hope this helps.
THANKS..
I like it much better when i go to pick up my machines and to my surprise i find it has the sop panel..
But I guess I can handle changing a c3003 to SOP c3003.
I have a good window wth this pending order and many other things to do.
