As far as changing a normal panel to Android, I agree with the previous poster, as there are settings that have to be done to tell the machine that it now has an android panel and not the standard panel.
    thanks.
I am curious if you "or anyone else seeing this" have ever swapped a mpc401 SOP panel in a different model"ie here a mpc3003".
I always worry about wiping out a controller by not having all the questions covered.
    thanks.

We recently fitted an mp402 panel to a mp6002 to test if the 6002 panel was faulty (which we confirmed) as the 402 panel started right up and the original 6002 panel just shone a blue power light....

Never assume that firmware is not the issue. Installed firmware has been known to go bad.

i was asking do i need to change FW on a SOP panel that was a working pull from a mpc401sr.
I had thought some of the FW was loaded onto the op panel itself..

Re: SOP panels interchangeability and models

from what i was told these are the only service mode changes needed
Then there are a couple SP modes you need to change (if I remember correctly)5748-101 and 201, turn machine off, swap the NOP for the SOP, turn back on, and then go back into SP mode and change SP 5752-001 and 1041-001 (I think those were it) . Hope this helps.

as my head clears i think your swap was SOP to SOP where as I am swapping a SOP into a machine wth NOP
panel thus the need to pre install the SOP FW b4 swapping out the NOP panel for a SOP panel.
