    Aficio 3030 print scan unit

    I know it's an old one.

    1. Have put in the SD print/scan card, nore print nore scan function available.
    2. Have swapt a controller board (from a 3025) (with the print scan unit SD card) to the 3030 (after swapping the 2 eproms):
    error sc995. Then did a HDD format all, no good.
    3. without HDD sc876 and with the original HDD (from 3030) still sc995...

    Anyone?

    The 3025 and 3030 use different Controller PCB's. Your SC995 is a Controller board error.

    It sounds to me like you did not properly install the Printer/Scanner option. Most likely you install only the SD card. If you were to have looked at the service manual you would have seen that kit from Ricoh includes a 256MB DIMM to install on the controller board, brings the total memory up to 512MB which the option needs to work.

    Also NIC has to be enabled if I'm not mistaken

    ...And also not informed us if it was previously working and has failed, or he is just trying to install the feature from scratch. I hate that!

    lack of information from MOST posters is a big problem ( you tell them and sometimes they don't even update the info)... then most times they don't even take the advise
