As it is already suggested ,access control could be a reason.
Telnet is your friend.
Telnet IP

ok i tried these things
reset 5870 -3-1-4 in that order / no print
did an all clear/ no print
5801-11.. no print
yet it picks up its own ip address
no web access / 404 page not found
Try executing SP 5801-10, -20, and -25. If that does not work it may be restricted access. Which may be reset through the WIM.
I successfully changed one by reverting the IP ( on the Ricoh) to the original static address. Then using a network crossover cable, hook up a laptop directly to the Ricoh.
Assign the network adapter settings on the laptop using the Gateway, subnet mask and a close IP address to the Ricoh. Then you can access the WIM and reset the access restrictions on your Ricoh
(I successfully changed one by reverting the IP ( on the Ricoh) to the original static address) by this do you mean the assigned address we have it on now?
once im in, where would i look for the restrictions? im not super savy on the restrictions area, is there a specific place to look for to be able to change this machine to user friendly print... LOL
