ricoh pro c5200s shows jam but theres no jams

this copier shows a jam in the LCIT 4050 and displays a J007. but whenever you open the 4050 there is no paper jam, and when you close it it starts printing again. i have tried increasing and decreasing the fan. and have also replaced the paper feed rollers. any ideas on what is causing this? thanks for your help. i have noticed when changing the fan speed that i get a J015 and there is an actual jam.

I believe that J007 is a tray 1 failure to feed and J015 is a failure to reach LCT F3 Transport sensor. What type of paper is being used? Have you tried feeding it from a different tray?

it feeds fine from the other trays. it just when using the additional 2,200 large capacity that sits over to the right of the machine that it has the J007. it's the LCIT RT4050. we have tried different sizes paper, which gets the error. but we haven't used a heavier weight. i believe its a 24lbs.

something i forgot to add is we have also tried different brands of paper, same weight and such with the same result.

have you cleaned the sensors in the LCT?

run the sensor test and find out which sensor is flakey

i have the service manual. but the only sensors i am finding says TM/P front, center, and rear. but doesn't identify front, center, and rear of what. i have no way of knowing if it's for ADF or whatever.

Ricoh has the accessories ( finisher/LCIT ect ) in separate manuals .... try looking in PARTS manual for the location of sensors
