    MP301 scan to email

    Guys,

    The customer has an existing MP301 SPF configured to smtp.office365.com. Scans are working fine as users are able to scan. We provided 2 more 301SPFs refurbished and configured the same settings (within the IP range, DNS, domain, SMTP authentication, port) but does not work. I noticed the latter 2 models' SSL/TLS is set to ciphertext. Changed the values to cleartext/ciphertext just to replicate the working machine's settings but no luck.

    I will clear the NCS and format the HDD tomorrow...

    any thoughts on this?

    If the newer machine is still working I suspect a firmware upgrade on two older units, needs to support TLS1.2

    All of our refurbs get latest firmware before they leave the shop. So many changes these days, SMB, TLS, etc.

    I remember when the Cxx03s came out. Firmware updates almost daily.

    Thanks for all your inputs.

    Did the firmware update and reformat HDD.
    Cleared the NCS as well to remove other network settings.
    After testing, still doesn't work.

    On the second thought, i tried to do the connection test on the dns configured.
    There I found the problem. 1st DNS connects succesfully, the second does not. When the IT gave the third, did the connection test, tried the scan...it worked.
