    MPc5502a SPDF jamming

Intermittently jamming with J013 & J014. See picture. New feed belt & DFPR, cleaned all rubber and sensors. I swapped the whole document feeder and still the same results! Pictures show where it's jamming and what paper looks like.

Might be a long shot, but have you replaced the separation roller and torque limiter in the ADF?

Reverse roller has more bite than the feed belt. Some type of slippage on the drive for the feed belt. Could be the belt slipping on the drive roller or the one way bearing in the drive roller or the shaft it is on. On some DF that shaft is also driven by a one way bearing in the drive train, I have had to replace those in the past.

I tried ruffing up the end of the shaft and the one way bearing in the drive roller with emory cloth and it still had issues pulling in the original. I think I will try and find a whole new feed section again to see what happens. I'm totally frustrated with this! I've had another MPC5501a doing the exact same thing and swapped that doc feed as well to no avail. 4 doc feeders with the same issue and only SPDF's????? Coincidence maybe. It has been very humid and wet here in VA lately and telling both law firms with these copiers that their documents are damp will not go over well.

check this bulletin out for the MP6503,
it could apply to your particular issue, since it is the same SPDF

If you really want to help people, I would suggest that you post the RTB as an attachment and a link to a document that requires a login name and password. North America techs can get access but those other parts might not be able.

I know this is a few months old, but was a solution ever found to this issue ? I've had exactly this issue a few times now, as per photos, always on the 4501A feeders and it me drove nuts. Had one today, and I think I've found the cause.

Replaced three things..... Steel Feed shaft(has all the feed components on it), one way feed roller(white one) and one way feed drive shaft. So far so good!
