Image at the half was ok but at the other half were white areas like waves. I have seen it a lot of times when developer is missing.
Because customer didn't want to spend lot of money i replaced developer (type 28) and alla gears. Executed 2 802 and 2 802 programs. first it worked fine but next day the same problem . Any idea(except to replace the hole drum unit) ?

Did you cheched if toner is fall in to the developer unit? Maybe stuffy toner unit.?

A simple replacement of a drum type 1027 should do.

If the customer is worried about the cost, you can tell them that the average life of the drum is much more than the stated life of 60,000 copies.

Gab, sounds like your toner density went low, this is probably due to not fully removing all the old developer.
The rear auger chamber is sealed, and requires alot of effort to get all the old dev out. (from experience of faiuled and successful rebuilds)
If there is to much developer, the density drops. Katun also offers a replacement gear kit !

Dont waste your time on only developer, do drum, dev, blade and gears.

If it's a high volume, quality important account...just replace the drum unit. Don't loose a client over this minor repair

try cleaning the mirrors of the laser polygon engine

Xerox or IBM businnes paper (cheapest paper of the 2)
Which paper do they use?

Could it be the magnetic roller? I had this problem from a MP4000 machine. Prints patterns of waves when you do an almost full coverage print.

If the machine is not level front to back, you will get this problem.

do your lungs and customer a favor and blow that machine up..
I both loved and hated that stupid drum unit...
You can try a new 1027 but they wont last long and that leakamatic will scatter toner on your feed rollers and tray
in time..

replace the pcu, this model uses the 1027 PCU, i think the number is 411018.. the type 1027 were not meant to be rebuilt in the field, but swapped out as a whole unit. the old unit is then sent to a place that rebuilds them.
