5502a LCT Pulling paper sideways

Hello everyone,

I have a MP C5502a that is having an issue with the large capacity tray. The tray doesn't pulls the paper straight out of the tray and the paper ends up waving and creasing before it even gets to the fuser. I already pulled apart the tray to see if the paper could catch on anything and I didn't see anything. Another else have this issue?

Are you talking about tandem tray or LCT. Either way look at the guides and doors in paper path.

Sorry I forgot to mention it was the LCT. Will check and report back.

It does sound as though you may have a vertical transport guide out of position. I have also found the guides missing before (it falls out onto the floor and someone just pitches it into the trash).
