Hi,

Has anyone experienced poblems concerning toner adding.
Noticed that the toner bottle did not turn when toner had to be added.
as if the toner drive motor was "hanging".
So I ordered a new toner drive assy, installed it, not that easy!
however, the bottle did turn and the machine was ready after a time of toner adding.

Now, 2 days later, customer called again with the same error concerning the toner adding.
And again, toner bottle attemps to turn but it keeps "hanging" again . . . .

someone a clue here??

Is this a new machine? With this series you have to Initialize the toner supply system upon first setting up, if not done correctly you will go into a "Toner End" condition even if it's a full bottle. 1st off Try opening the front cover for over 5 seconds, make sure bottle is set properly and then close cover. This should execute a "Toner End Recovery"...... Or, Try turning machine off, then open the front cover and turn machine back on, enter SP mode from the Copy screen, Set SP 3-510-031 to 1 and press #, Exit SP mode, Close the front cover and the Toner should start loading, Wait a few minutes for toner to load, then go back into SP mode, go to SP 7-622-250 (Counter reset) and press Execute, then press "exit", THEN go to SP 3-011-001 (manual Pro Con) and Execute.
