Check your Network Connection, and make sure it's not set to "Public". Then go into Control Panel> Network and Sharing Center. Go into the network port being used, click "Properties", then select IPv4 Properties>Advanced... click the WINS tab, and change to "NETBios over TCP/IP. The default "NETBios over DHCP" doesn't play well with SMB.

Back in Control Panel, go to Windows Firewall>Advanced Settings, and under your Inbound Rules, make sure all instances of "File and Printer Sharing" are set to "Allow".

    Interesting.
My test mule running Win 10 1809 only required a firmware update on my MP 171 to setup scan to folder.
