Guys, do you have any idea on how to print the mail directly to the machine by a remote user? For example, the user is located to a remote place. Instead of sending the mail to another user to print, the user in the remote area will send the mail directly to the machine and it will print automatically.

If the user logs into their work network via a VPN they'll have access to their regular email be it via smtp or exchange.
That's how I stay in contact with work when I'm out in the bush

If the user logs into their work network via a VPN and they are connected to the work domain, they'll also have access to all the work printers .
My work laptop isn't on the domain so all my printers are local printers so I can't access my usual work printers.

The easiest way to remote print is with Google cloud printing.
Open WIM (web interface), network settings, google cloud tab, register your gmail account.
Login to the gmail account you registered then go: Google Cloud Print
Click printers then Share.
If they have gmail you can just add them. Non-gmail accounts need the link from the share.
They will have a new printer available to print from anywhere.

Thanks for the heads up.
I've never really set up cloud printing,I'm not overly fond of personal data stored or sent over the idinet internet.
Each to their own though, others may prefer to use it...

I followed the above link an I see that Google Cloud Print has a very extensive printer driver list available.
There are some apps like "PaperCut, PrintCentral, UniFlow" that ready support google cloud printing as well.

But not what sharpmind wanted. In th future try to stick to topic.

Also most major account IT will not allow remote FTP to any device other than their FTP server which then still require someone, frequently with network admin credentials to pull up and print. Should network admin be on vacation it might take days or even weeks for that to happen.

It has been a long time since I tried it but most Ricoh machines have the ability to setup POP to check and download email. This is on the "File Transfer" tab.

You can also login to the WIM of the copier, Configuration, Email. There is a section for reception where you can control the reception size and interval of checking. You must also provide the POP email login. If you create a separate account for the copier just use the same login as the sending email. The files must be sent as attachments for them to print.

Not to get "Off Subject" as mentioned by "Slimslob" but Ricoh does not support Google Cloud Printing out of the box. You must download an app to do this. Inexpensive and works well. Of course you can always use "Google Cloud Print Classic". This will allow printing through another computer being used as a server. This also works well.
