    MP3054 Disordered image

    Hi,

This problem as you see on the image appears mostly on the first print !
When printing large jobs no such problems, only the first . . .
Happens couple of time during the day. . . .

Changed the PCDU unit, no result.

    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance

I think you may have 2 tiny people living inside the machine that are missing their right hands. Definitely a problem. I seen this a few years ago on a B&W 2075, although the dark blur was imaged across the entire document. It turned out the drum drive flywheel (stabilizer) was missing causing jitter. I suppose loose/worn components in the drive/paper feed system could be an issue. First glance you would think a PDCU problem, like dev unit gears or charge roller issue, but you have indicated that has been replaced.

Could be fusing sleeve assembly. I have seen them cause jamming or image quality issues when the internal pressure pad dries out making the fuser sleeve difficult to turn.

Was the 240k PM performed? I have had good luck with making yield on this series but the fuser doesn't do well when pushed further than stated yield.

I suggest recreating the problem by printing or copying first page. Upon passing thru the drum, open the right cover to find out where the problem is coming from. It can be PCDU, PTR, or even the Fusing.
    Aye! Cut the crap

Could be indead, I’ve swapped both PCDU and Fuser into another MP3054.
Problem is in one of those units, because it did not return in the first machine.
So, because of having changed the PCDU before, it must ne the fuser !!
