The application appears to be overriding the print driver default settings. There's likely a setting in the program to "Use Driver Default" settings, but unless you know where it's located I'd leave it to their IT guys.
Have you confirmed that the option is mandatory in the configuration of the machine?
If some impressions are blocked and others are printed directly, the machine may not have selected any type of user authentication.
Also, if you are not going to configure a mandatory user authentication, you must adjust the driver with the lock settings from the properties of printers, advanced, printing defaults.

We had a customer using TAS program which did not do what it needs to do.
They blamed the Ricoh, but after a week they admided that TAS needed an update; problem solved!
