MPC401 - Line on scan & copy from adf only - from glass ok - advice needed please

Advice needed please

My last job last night was looking at a MPC401 with a line on scans
On investigating it seems the line is only from the ADF.
Scan on the glass is fine, Scan & Copy from ADF shows the paper edge as a line.

If Copy enlarge is set to 120% the line goes.
Adf rollers cleaned and sensors cleaned.

Had to leave site due to office closing.
Need advice on what I do next please

Sounds like the machine is picking up the edge of the paper and that ends up being printed. Check the settings for the df magnification and erase margins vs the birth certificate.

DF side registration

Leading edge registration was at 2.0 - birth was 0
I adj to -0.5 and all ok

We did a full firmware update not so long ago and possibly the DF adj were affected.

if that is on the trail edge you can adj trail edge void.
I dont remember the exact setting but i think it is sp 6006 and subs

plus your lead edge might be off,draw some arrows on the lead and trail edge and recheck

You have a dirty slit glass. This is the glass that the paper passes over when using the ADF. Could be something stuck to the surface or a spot on dust/lint on the bottom. I have also seen it happen from a scratch of the glass.

it looks to be LEF feed in ADF?
defect in red circle?
what is top left corner.. was it folded?
