MP6003 long minute warm up after sleep

Hi all,

I have a few MP6003 but one of them seems to take much longer to warm up after going into sleep/power save.

Only seems to happen on this one particular machine, is there an SP mode I can maybe change to speed up warm up time etc!?

The fault sounds like myself getting out of bed each morning. Talk about firing up the boiler to get the steam train moving...

Is the machine underneath and air conditioning duct or cooling fan ?
We had a similar problem with an old MPC 4500. The machine was located directly under the air condition fan forcing down onto the machine. The MFD would code out with random fuser timing problems when it came out of stand bye mode.
Move the machine out from the under airconditioner and the problem went away.

Thermistors may need cleaning or replacing...

Check the thermistor mounting brackets are not bent from a jamb or tech over enthusiasm.
The old MP6001 had a thermistor bracket modification for the angle of the holding bracket.

Its a brand new machine install but will check again if under an air con unit, thanks.

hello, I just read your treath now, I had the same need too on a mp9002, we have a customer (we call it turboman) that is full of money and wants everything to the maximum (runs on audi rs8 hipertuned!), and consequently wanted a copier super powerful despite we have discouraged seen the few prints that makes.after a while he started to complain that it took too long to warm up, then:we heard the ricoh, which has advised against disabling various process controls, the only thing you can do is: lengthen the standby time to max (240min.) and set sp 3904 at level 0, (nothing special, it acts more on the frequency of cleaning the corona wires, and other various little things.but be careful because doing so runs the risk of running out prematurely the lamps of the fuser! with a beautiful sc 545-00 left fuser lamp (in Italy 600w)

Yeah, the MP9003's take longer to warm up than the MP6503 or MP7503 due to the heavier fuser roller. as far as I know, all you can do is extend the standby time to max, and try changing the low power mode in sys settings-admin settings-low power mode.
