MP C6004 Stuck on please wait

Hi all,


We have this issue after we stopped Papercut in order to access the machine etc, after rebooting the machine just sits at "please wait"


We've waited over 40 mins no change.


The machine will also not accept a fw update via SD card.


We can however get into the SOP recovery mode.

Bit stuck on how to proceed ?

Alhtough I am not familiar with the model, the "please wait" display usually indicates a HDD issue. In the past I have had luck with a format, and a HDD replacement if that did not work.

We disconnected the HDD to see if if would boot up but it still sat at pls wait.

I'm not familiar with that model, but the same problem happened to me with other models, and I solved it like this:unplug everything, hdd, fax board, etc, etc (often HDD) and try, if nothing else you understand what it is .. and I would suggest you make a nice sp801-xxx all, except engine, so you're more quiet,once on mp4002 I replaced the hdd because it was broken, the mp4002 remained in "please wait" dismount, remove the fax board, turned on the machine all ok, formatted, off, installed fax board, turned on, and everything magically ok to always ... obviously it took me a while to get there, I hope you're lucky too

Must be a bad HDD. Disconnecting it will cause it stall for some time. Do a diskpart and clean the disk. This worked for me the last time I had an issue with an equitrac enable machine.
