C4502...Please wait after replacing the fuser sleeve. No SC 544-00

Got a tech that replaced a fuser sleeve in a C4502 due to a torn sleeve. He replaced the sleeve, installed the new fuse, ran SP5810-002 which resulted in a fail. Rebooted machine to a please wait on the display that won't clear. Updated all firmware, installed new fuser fuse and still please wait, resets SP5810-002 resulting in a fail result. Takes the fuse out, reboots to a SC561, replaces both thermistors same code. Puts new reset fuse in to a please wait again. Runs SP5810-02 to another fail message. Seems the machine is trying to blow the fuse but can't so it sits there at please wait. Now I normally won't replace the fuse unless there is an error code, replace the sleeve, reset the counts and all good. This is an odd one.

You probaly left the Thermister connector off when changing sleeve.

strong possibility of this, I agree, as the connectors are the same. However, he would have had to make the same mistake twice, when replacing the sleeve and then when replacing the thermistors.

Entirely possible. You can check by removing the fuser, remove the fuse, and check continuity between the connector pins and the upper plug pins.

Note: The pins marked here, may be different depending on region and/or model.

The second time he merely connected everything the same as they were, not realizing that it was incorrect.
