    MPc5503 FW error

I have been experiencing an error when trying to update the module FW. The package FW updates without issue.
The error is "Upper limit exceeds E75".
I am using a 1GB SD Card, formatted correctly. Only one model on the card for just the unit being updated.
    Can some please explain this?

I did not find an E-75 error code in the manual. If it was me, I would compare the size of the package FW to the size of the modules you have on the card. If the modules are bigger, split the module FW in half and load it in 2 steps. Could also be corrupt FW files, I have run into that before.

I had this once before. I loaded JUST the "System/Copy" file into the romdata folder and installed that by itself, THEN I installed the rest of the firmware.

IMPORTANT: Make SURE you're using System/Copy version 1.40 dated AFTER 2/1/2019!!! I almost bricked a couple of machines because the old file was corrupted. Ricoh has since updated the file!

First try the package firmware, it this does not update you get E32 error etc update the system copy first then try the package again.

Sorry...should have been more clear. If you've already downloaded v1.40, make sure the file is dated AFTER 2/2019. The OLD version of 1.40 was corrupt... They fixed it in February, so if your 1.40 is dated January, don't use it.

To rescue the machine that coded on me I had to download the PREVIOUS version of Sys/Copy.
