    reset soft count to zero

    Hi guys is there any way that the soft counter in Ricoh MP 9000, MP 907 ,MP 1107 can be made zero or is that asking for too much?? Help guys

    It's not the question of cheating or being dishonest the machine is doing 14.5 million it's just that after refurbishing that the client wants the counter to made zero to start fresh

    Illegal but if you replace the NVRAM it will reset. But you need authorization from Ricoh to do that.

    GENTLY explain to the customer that "Resetting a machine's counter is the same thing as trying to roll back the odometer on a car.... it's illegal, and you don't want to expose the customer to any possible charges of fraud if they decide to sell their machine at some point."


    You look like the hero...because you kept them from breaking the law, and you don't have to do anything unscrupulous.
